A couple of stats out there...

There are approximately 97,000 abortions in Australia every year (that's using only those figures obtained through a claimed refund with Medicare).

1 in 3 women have had an abortion.

Post Abortion Trauma is suffered by each to varying degrees
- as many as 1 in 5 walk away with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

SA is currently the only state that records reasons for abortion. In 2002: 97.5% of abortions were because of the 'mental health of the mother' - how many choose abortion cos they felt they had NO other choice? These gals need real support. 0% were because of rape/incest on the woman. 0.35% were because of a specified medical condition. 2.1% were Abnormality of the foetus.

There are 50 abortion every day in QLD. Over 2000 per week in Australia.

90% of babes with disabilities don't make it out of the womb - for every 210 tested only 50 were actually correctly diagnosed with many of those in the remaining 160 healthy babies being miscarried due to the invasiveness of the amniocentises testing.

1 in 6 couples are infertile (at least for some due to sexually transmitted diseases and/or damage and scarring from previous abortions) - there are better ways than IVF! NaPro technology is heaps cheaper and works!

In 2002-3 there were 73 'general' adoptions in Australia – these low numbers are due in a big way to the easy availability of abortion. The waiting list to adopt is 11 years.

We make it SIMPLE to act –
we DO make a difference... will you?
